Yes!!!!

You guessed it right!!

Our semester exams are about to begin tomorrow...Though all the colleges under Anna university have closed for the vacation... we are just gonna embark on the most exciting (as per the staff) part of our college lives....'The Nightmare' bringing sleepless nights season 6.... :)

And people have started slogging in the hostel corridors studying, studying and STUDYING (ithukku peru thaan vizhunthu vizhunthu padikkarthu  :P  )

I always wonder how the VVP (from braces above) helps in the exams...I belong to the category which studies on the last day...The funniest part of last day 'studying' is that sometimes, when we encounter very long and inter-linked derivations especially in subjects like EM theory, everything seems to make sense while studying...The derivations look easy to remember with slight modifications....But when you are sitting in the exam hall answering the same derivation, the process of confusion begins...The derivations seem to obfuscate without making any sense of which answer is being answered properly... I usually curse myself for putting so much strain on the last day and everytime take a decision that 'This will not happen next time and i ll prepare earlier' to avoid such circumstance...okay, right now few people who know me would be telling that i am lying but my closer circle knows about my studying habits!!!!

So yeah...People get so tensed during the exams that it is hard to find people smiling...You smile and people think 'aah...this girl has finished preparing for the exam and see how freely she is roaming about' :)   Thats really funny...Even smiling is ostracized :)

I seriously believe that there is no use getting tensed before the exams, as it (tension) is very contagious and spreads very rapidly (like a wild fire) making even the most composed people panic (sometimes includes me)...Recently, I was advising a younger cousin of mine to stay cool during exams and  face it with audacity...I also told her to enter the exam hall thinking u' ll do really well even if you have'nt prepared well (this is a strong belief of mine...which works out pretty well ).. And guess what, she immediately retorted and complained that I was lying....!!! Hope people realize that self-confidence (and not over-confidence) is what is needed to curb the fear of exams....

Another interesting event is when i said the same thing to a close friend of mine! One could see her fretting way too much before the exam (and dare not crack a silly joke before her at that time :)  )....I told her to work as per my principle and see how stress-free it can be...To my shock, she tried the same and she dint do well!!! (thanks to my idea....she wasnt tensed...was pretty cool...and that made her less focussing on the exam  (in her words)) That day i decided, not to advice anyone like this :) :) but i still do :)  even yesterday i did...

Despite this incident, deep within me i believe that it can cause a great change in everyone's lives if we look at exams as just exams or happening events and not as an epic war....(opinions will vary )...

Finally my best wishes to all the Vizhunthu Vizhunthu Padikkara parties for the semester exams....

So very interesting things happen in our lives everyday...And i learn allot from it :) The best of it is to love my life...

That's the way i see my life :) So keep smiling....
Cheerfully Yours,
Yamini.....

P.S. Wanted to blog on a lot of things but all of a sudden the surrounding heated and tensed atmosphere motivated me to give a vent to my thoughts....Lots to come.....

P.P.S : a lot of new words would feature, thanks to my Gre preps :) cant help but use the 'newly learnt' words....

P.P.P.S : People are most welcome to share their Nightmare season reviews :)
And whoa....its come out really really LONG :)

  1. The maiden attempt has been really good ! You can try avoiding the usage of 'smilies' and too many multiple dots <....> They tend to take the power off the words that you use. Your words seem to be powerful enough to deliver your thoughts and emotions. Great work. Way to go yam !!
